West Berkshire Youth Forum

About

The West Berkshire Youth Forum is a group for local young people 16+ with SEND. We plan our evenings out in the community- these events are a great opportunity to meet new people and socialise on a Friday night.

Our ‘Pizza Nights’ have gone down a treat!

Aside from plenty of opportunities to explore the activities and events on offer in our community, we also love hearing your feedback on your experience of growing up in West Berks with SEND. It’s a real chance for you to use your voice and make real changes in our community.

We have some really exciting opportunities coming up soon.

If you’re a young person with SEND, we’d love to hear from you and invite you to our future events.

Meet the Team!

Meg

Hi I’m Meg and I’m the Youth Forum Lead. I work for Rose Road (a charity) and run the West Berks Youth Forum. We’ve been given a pot of money by West Berkshire Local Authority to engage with young people and gain feedback on their services. I started this group in lockdown, initially with the aim to support young people with their mental health and well-being during a really challenging time. The group has since grown in size and we’ve loved being able to meet face-to-face. I’m really excited about what this group can achieve and hope that the Youth Forum’s platform is able to empower young people with SEND to have a voice in their community.

Beth

Hi I’m Beth and I’m the Senior Fundraising Manager at Rose Road. I help Meg run the Youth Forum alongside my role in organising and managing many other exciting events for young people with SEND at Rose Road.
